A new interview with João Catarino on Consultor Jurídico
CAPP researcher João Ricardo Catarino was recently interviewed for the online publication Consultor Jurídico.
In this new interview, the researcher talks about the possible effects of nationalist movements on fiscal competition among nation states. The specificities and the proposals formulated in the context of the European Union and of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) are also addressed in this interview. Issues related with international legal taxation in the context of worldwide economic deregulation, which have an observable impact on the capacity of states to control capital flows are also in the researcher's sight.
Other themes, such as the portuguese recovery after a period of austerity are also dealt with in this text.
João Ricardo Catarino is a researcher at the Centre for Public Administration and Public Policies, while also a Full Professor at Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas at the University of Lisbon.
