CAPP and other ISCSP research centers host a visit from the European Academy of Management
The Centre for Public Administration and Public Policies hosted, a visit from the European Academy of Management and the European Foundation for Management Development.
The European Academy of Management (EURAM) is a network of institutions dedicated to research and teaching in management, created in 2001 and which is currently present in 49 countries. In turn, the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) is one of the largest European associations also in the field of management, responsible for EQUIS, an accreditation system aimed at higher education institutions.
With the purpose of getting a better understanding of the research developed in portuguese-speaking countries on management, nineteen representatives of these two institutions have visited ISCSP to discuss the leadership and the future of research in this field. The visit was part of the program on leadership and management taking place at Universidade Nova, from 22 to 26 april.
The comission was received at ISCSP by the Vice-President Romana Xerez, who presented the strategy for the institute in this domain. During the reception, the President of the Executive Board of the Centre for Public Administration and Public Policies, Paulo Castro Seixas, gave a short presentation on the research done at this research unit, exemplifiying with some of the ongoing research projects. The comission also got to know the research done at other research centers at ISCSP.
The visit was accompanied by Miguel Lopes, who coordinates the Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour research group at CAPP, and who is also the portuguese representative at the EURAM board.
