Pedro Correia wins the Research Award in Human Resources at the 13th HR Gala
CAPP researcher Pedro Correia received the research award in Human Resources at the 13th Human Resources Gala, an event organized and promoted by the Institute of Information in Human Resources.
The event, which annually gathers the portuguese professional community in HR, took place at the Politeama Theater, in Lisbon. The initiative seeks to "celebrate excellence in the practice of the profession, to recognize individual and collective talents, and reward outstanding results achieved through the implementation of the best Human Resources practices". Among the honors. the Research Award recognizes "individual or collective persons who have contributed the most to the technological and scientific advancement of Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior, through the development of studies and completed research work"
This is the fifth award attributed to researchers from the Centre for Public Administration and Public Policies since its first edition. The research award was attributed the the researchers Miguel Pereira Lopes in 2008, Patrícia Palma in 2012 and Albino Lopes in 2013. In 2014, CAPP researcher João Bilhim was honored with the Personality of the Year Award.
Pedro Miguel Alves Ribeiro Correia is a Doctorate in Social Sciences, specializing in Public Administration. He is a Professor at Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas, University of Lisbon and the coordinator of the National Observatory for Public Administration. He is an integrated researcher and Vice-President at the Centre for Public Administration and Public Policies and a researcher at the Center fro Interdisciplinary Studies in Gender. He is also consultant of the Directorate General of Justice Policy of the Ministry of Justice, and an active contributor to the Justice Administration Research Group, at the University of Brasília.
