Pedro Correia, João Bilhim and Ireneu Mendes publish a new paper on the journal Lex Humana
Pedro Miguel Alves Ribeiro Correia (CAPP) and João Abreu de Faria Bilhim (CAPP) are the authors of a new article published on Lex Humana, with the title “The importance of collaboration and cooperation as an enabler of new governance at the local level: a comparative analysis”.
Today, Public Administration faces difficult times that require a greater effort of collaboration and cooperation between the different social actors, aiming a more efficient and higher quality provision of a service that meets the changing demands of the community.
Thus, the authors, in co-authorship with Ireneu de Oliveira Mendes (ISCSP), through comparative studies, developed a theoretical framework on the importance of creating mechanisms for collaboration in the provision of public services and how it is integrated into the new public governance, and still presented some of the main risks associated with the development of collaboration platforms in governance, as well as some of their possible consequences.
