Webinar - Geoengineering and its Challenges to Environmental Governance

The Centre for Public Administration and Public Policies announces a new webinar, Geoengineering and its Challenges to Environmental Governance. The webinar will be held remotely, via Zoom, on October 1st, 2020 at 17 pm.

Nowadays, climate change is one of the biggest problems humanity faces and to reduce emissions or remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, several methodologies can be adopted. Geoengineering technologies are a heterogeneous set of proposals to manipulate the global climate system that have not yet been implemented on a large scale. This session discusses some of the governance problems that may arise from a greater reliance on geoengineering technologies in the near future.

This initiative within the research line Ambiente e Narrativas Antropocénicas (ATEGINA) has the organization of researchers Rui Moutinho Sá and Cecília Veracini.
