Summary:
The PRO.MO Health Study will be conducted in partnership between the Office for Social Studies of MGAM and the Group of Society, Communication and Culture (SCCG) of the Centre for Public Policy and Administration (CAPP/ISCSP-UL).
The first step of the PRO.MO Health study will focus on an expected sample of 5,000 individuals, MGAM’ associates, registered in the Panel of Associates, and will have the following purposes:
- To provide a profile of the physical and psychological health of Associates of MGAM and their social condition;
- To investigate the prevalence of several chronic diseases (e.g. diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, obesity) and the prevalence of mood and sleep disorders, in its relation to social, cultural, behavioural and occupational factors.
The second step of the PRO.MO Health study, to be conducted in a subsample, is oriented to investigate, in more detail, the influences of the cultural factors on health.
