Postdoc Fellowship for the research project "Public Policies and Child Labor in Portugal and the Portuguese Colonies"

The application period for one Post-Doctoral Fellowship will be open from 14 to 27 November, for a position in the research project “Public policies and child labor in Portugal and the Portuguese colonies”.

The work plan will be carried out at the Centre for Public Administration and Public Policies (CAPP) at Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas, Universidade de Lisboa. Applicants must have a PhD in any area of the Social Sciences, including Economy, Public Administration, History, African Studies or Development Research.

It is expected that applicant will conduct research in the Portuguese colonial archives; write literature reviews on the portuguese economy in Africa, including on the job market, education and children’s living conditions; organize a publication and contribute to other collective works (mostly in English) by the research team; provide support for the organization of a conference, while also presenting papers in other events; conduct interviews and support the management of the research project (reports, website, etc).

The grant will have a six month duration, and is expected to start on January 1st, 2018, and will be eventually renewable until the end of the project. For more information see the full notice.
