Research and Training Seminars
The international Research and Training Seminars are designed to help students and researchers stay up to date with the latest academic research and internationally-used research tools. These seminars include two key components: presentations of research projects by senior scholars and training in research tools, such as artificial intelligence assistants and tools for online data extraction and visualisation.
The first component — presentations by senior international researchers — allows participants to gain insight into current research projects, potential collaborations, recent discoveries, and developments in their fields of interest. Listening to experienced researchers can serve as inspiration and help participants refine their own work while broadening their understanding of specific areas of study. This activity promotes a wider knowledge of the research landscape and helps identify valuable scientific information sources.
The second component — training in research tools — equips participants to carry out more effective and efficient research. Tools such as AI assistants and online data visualisation software can streamline research processes, help identify patterns and trends, and support clearer, more concise presentation of results. Moreover, these tools can also open up new research possibilities that might otherwise go unexplored.
In short, the Research and Training Seminars offer valuable updates on recent research and techniques across various fields, deepening thematic understanding and enhancing research skills.
These seminars are organised by the Research Centres in collaboration with ISCSP’s Scientific and Pedagogical Coordination Units. Coordinators are invited to suggest potential speakers and trainers. Participation is restricted to ISCSP students and researchers, and prior registration is required due to limited capacity.
